More than 75 percent of MDPI articles appear in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and approximately 80 percent are in the Scopus indexing database. Moreover, numerous life-sciences journals are in the PubMed/MEDLINE indexing database and archived in PubMed Central (PMC). In addition, each MDPI journal is permanently archived in the Swiss National Library for long-term preservation.

Additionally, the editorial boards consist of a global network of more than 6,500 active scientists and researchers, including numerous Nobel Prize winners.
